“ Very cute old timey vibe. We had both cups of soups of the day (Italian meatball and Mushroom barley). My date liked them both, they were both a little too spicey for me, but I'm a wimp. We shared the Cougar sandwich. Very good. I'm a fan of their Cole slaw, the beet salad was also very good. Don't forget to leave room for dessert. A lot of homemade stuff (we took home a cookie and a biscotti.) ”
“ Best Cubano sandwich I've ever had! Tender pork loin contrasting perfectly with the bite of pickle. Potato leek soup was also very good. Ate so much we did not have room for ice cream. The gift shop upstairs is also charming and has fun accessories. Must come back to try all the regular items on the menu. ”
“ Loved this spot!! The inn keeper at our bed and breakfast recommended it and we are so glad she did! We visited on a Saturday afternoon in August. It's very unassuming from the outside but it's jam packed with personality! When you first walk in you might not get far because there's a lot going on. people are in line to cash out and others are looking at the fresh cookies, waiting to be seated or looking at the selection of hilarious drink coasters for sale. The decor is like an old style ice cream parlor, from the booths to the old style canopy. The walls are covered with Coca Cola and other vintage signs as well as vintage decorations. The menu makes you hungry. There are so many options it was hard to decide! Especially as we saw the different meals and desserts being brought to the neighboring tables. The desserts!! We were too full to order dessert but we did buy two chocolate chip cookies to go. We really wanted to try the ice cream but maybe next time. We ordered the crab cakes and they did not disappoint! The potato leek soup was the best I've ever had. The New England clam chowder was also delicious. The serving size was perfect and everything was very fresh. Despite being packed we didn't wait long to have our order taken or for our food to arrive. Upstairs is a gift shop with a little bit of everything- candles, clothing, jewelry, wine accessories etc. The t-shirts and sweatshirts were on the high end but the quality seemed to be very good also. Downstairs even has a great greeting card selection. Great ”
“ Really nice staff. Great ownership. Great food. Soups off the hook. Prices little high but worth it. Hours could be longer but understand wanting to end day earlier Will continue to frequent when in the area. ”
“ Very cool decor, wonderful shopping for unique items and delicious food make this a must visit place! The menu is varied and the food is delicious. The shakes are large and thick, and the service is wonderful. Well worth the beautiful drive in the Adirondack Park ”
“ The food is amazing. The soups are beyond delicious as recently experienced trying the Creamy Nantucket Seafood Chowder. An all time favorite sandwich is their Southwest Tuna Melt. Upstairs is a plethora of quality products for the discerning shopper including the always popular special items in the "cooler" part of the store. ”
“ Their broccoli, cheddar, and chicken sandwich REALLY hit the spot. The perfect mesh of flavors between two pieces of crispy toasted bread all topped with, my favorite part, ranch dill dressing...I couldn't have been happier. Kind, friendly servers. A very family run feel which I really enjoyed. Only complaint was that the ranch dill dressing made the sandwich a bit messy and difficult to eat. ”
“ Stopped here after it was recommended by a local. Got a delicious club sandwich. Fresh bread, crisp bacon, and good turkey. The ice cream looked great. And the side of beet salad was delicious! Nice, fast service. Perfect place to stop for lunch on a road trip. ”
“ Helena and Bruce are the best! I'm dreaming about their tuna melt right now! Awesome. Kimm from Bra Girls lunches are coming up!! We are ready!! Lu guys! ”
“ This place is super cute! We went for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. They have a counter you can sit at or tables. The ice cream is Hershey brand (reason for star deduction). We had the sausage tortellini soup and a chicken salad platter. All food was super fresh and made with quality ingredients. The menu offers plenty of healthy options. The prices are reasonable. There is parking in the attached lot. Some guests parked their snowmobiles behind the restaurant. The staff was friendly and efficient. There are many items for sale in the shop. They sell locally made chocolates. There are clothes and other gift options. The shop continued upstairs, but I didn't venture up there to comment on it. ”
